An electric start to both halves paved the way for a convincing Raheny victory in this Evening Herald Dublin SFC third round tie at Russell Park on Tuesday night.
The all-weather pitch seems very much to Raheny’s suiting as they made their greater pace in attack mode count as they moved into an early five point lead with David Henry, Mick O’Keeffe, and mobile wing-back Neil Sullivan on the mark.
By the interval though, Tower’s had cut the gap to the minimum, 0-10 to 0-9, with John O’Brien, Paul Clifford, Denis Macken and Ian Ward getting on the scoresheet.
However, the second half belonged to Raheny as Eoghan Keogh continued to distribute the ball well among his fellow forwards. Tiarnan O Doinn’s goal put the final seal on an impressive Raheny victory who advance to face county champions, Ballyboden St Enda’s, in the fourth round.
