Well played to all the Raheny under 9 players who played fantastic football to beat Ballymun 114-17 last Saturday in Ballymun. Thanks to Ballymun for offering to move the game to their astro as St Annes was unplayable due to the weather.
Some changes were made to the teams to give different players a chance of playing on the A team but on the day the 3 teams all played great football to win by a big score.
The A team wo29-5 with  good performances from Daragh Nolan, Sean Farrelly and Christopher Dowling who let nothing in behind them at the back, Adam McCormack in the middle and James Keane up front.
The B team won by 39-12 . Great team play and good passing from everyone enabled us to knock over some great scores to win the match in style. Best for Raheny were Adam Codd who scored a great point, Daragh Kane who scored a good 45 and Michael Brennan who worked hard in defence for the team with both Tom Keogh and Brian Maher taking good scores.
The C team played fantastic to win their match 46-0 with Kevin Byrne superb in his first game for the Under 9's.  Others who played well included Declan McDermott , Sean GarryGrace Harkin and a special mention for Eoin Finnan who scored two great points.
Hurling scheduled for next Saturday, more details to follow from Colm and Aine.
2 winter ASTRO subs (€12) still due.
