Dublin have given a vote of confidence to the team which started against Donegal for their NFL Division 1 duel with Derry this Saturday night at Parnell Park.

Ciarán Whelan will captain the side against the reigning Division 1 league holders as they attempt to build on their hard-fought victory over Donegal in Ballyshannon

A number of players were not considered for selection - Paul Flynn (Fingallians) damaged ankle ligaments in the Sigerson Cup final is still recovering. He will be out for another four weeks. Eamonn Fennell (OTooles ) is just out of hospital after having his appendix removed and will need four weeks of recovery. Colin Moran (Ballyboden St Endas) has undergone a hip operation and his recovery will keep him out for eight weeks. Tomás Quinn (St Vincents) who has just resumed training played his first game in five months for his Vincents against Templeogue Synge St in a Vincent de Paul Cup game last week. He will need another few weeks of training to get to the appropriate fitness level.
Kilmacud Crokes players have not been considered due to club championship commitments – they face Crossmaglen Rangers in Croke Park on St Patricks Day (4.30).

The Dublin senior management are continuing to closely monitor the Development squad as well as the U21 panel.
