A very big thank you to Cian Burgess for getting our Hall of Fame up and running, he did a fantastic job getting jerseys framed and thanks to Conor Lee for putting them up.

Just wondering what Brendan Lee would say about his granddaughter writing on the walls of his beloved Club......

Drop down the club and have a look at our continously growing wall of fame. Anyone wanting to add to it, please contact Conor Lee.

A very proud looking and rightly so Cathal Miller carrying the Irish Flag in the opening ceremony of the Paralympic Games.

Juvenile Mentors Meeting - Wednesday 5th Sept 9pm
Now that the playing season is back in full swing we will be holding a meeting for mentors of all Juvenile teams on Wednesday , September 5th at 9PM in the club.   We will be discussing items such as Winter Training Facilities, GPO Coaching, transition from Juvenile to Minor among others.   It will also be an opportunity to for mentors to raise any other issues they may have.   It is vital that all teams are represented.

AFL10 won the Gorman Cup v St.Brendans
. This was in a sense a double victory for Raheny, as the outcome of this special cup competition organised by St.Brendans in Grangegorman counted for league points also. As soon as the Raheny lads had claimed the Cup, the world of Facebook began to buzz with the victory scenes.
It was indeed a very satisfying outcome to a closely fought, very competitive encounter. Despite playing uphill and against the wind, Raheny got off to a flying start with well worked points from Fago, Rob O'Neill; Cathal Gallagher, and Richie Kenny. The gloss was taken from the first half performance when Brendans snatched an opportunist goal seconds before the refereee blew for the break. Despite two sweetly taken points by Collie Dwyer soon after the resumption, Brendans began to put on the pressure and went ahead by six points, having broken through for two goals with the clock running down. However Raheny refused to throw in the towel, and following good attacking runs from defenders Ciaran Sutton; Stephen O Brien; Colm O'Laoire and Rory Boyle, the Brendans lead was whittled down, with Rob O Neill crashing the ball to the net and chalking up 2 more points. A tired looking Fago decided to make his final mark before heading off for Norway (best Of luck Fago) by scoring the final point shortly before the ref. blew the full time whistle. A happy Raheny squad returned to base with winning medals proudly displayed around their necks and captain, Tom Reynolds, in possession of the Gorman Cup.

The 2001 CFF fielded 3 camogie teams at the weekend drawing one and winning one game with Na Fianna and winning against Faughs. Jennifer Bourke scored 2 goals in the drawn match and was well supported by Jessica McGarry and Jenny O'Reilly. In the second game Nicole Crowley and Lucy McHugh led from midfield with Niamh Kellett and Ciara Storey getting late goals to win the day. Sunday saw the one team play against Faughs. The McCarthy sisters, Aisling O'Grady and Beckie starred and Dara O'Hanlon with two points and Sinead Ahearne with a late goal won the day.
