AFL4 a good win for us away to St Margarets
.  A hard won battle in tricky conditions with a great team effort from all.
Junior A Championship Prelim round Afl4 playing Round Towers are home with the winners playing Clontarf or St Judes in the 1st round proper.  Some great games to look forward to, best of luck to the team and to Paddy and Brian as well.

The U12's took to the frozen tundra of the Naomh Barrog astro @ 4:45 on Sunday 10th.... yes Mothering Sunday. It was windy and then it was blustery and then it started to pelt snow. It was bitterly cold so Emer Mc gave orders that the girls should stick their jerseys on over their Raheny hoodies to see if that would make a difference. The game couldn't start soon enough as at least when you were moving you could keep warm. The ref got us started with Raheny facing into a gale and Barrog using every inch of it to drive 4 balls over the astro netting. The Raheny defence were under some serious pressure as they were all frozen but managed to keep Barrog to just a couple of scores. Half time came and Eamonn brought out the secret weapon .... HOT CHOCOLATE and it was devoured... even by the ref. Raheny then had the advantage of the wind for the second half and for the first 10 mins the game was played in their half but Raheny just couldn't find the scores fast enough. We did manage to chip away at the Barrog lead but in the end there just wasn't enough time. The ref blew up and everybody ran for cover... i.e. a jacket and into the cars and home.
Special mention should go to Niamh McCormacks point with her woodener (left leg for the under-educated)!
Final Score Raheny 1:3 Naomh Barrog 2:8
Team:- Aisling O'Grady, Aoibhin McCarthy, Aoife O'Donovan, Caoimhe McCarthy, Carla Fitzsimons, Ciara Storey, Eabha Ni Bhradaigh, Eilish McGloin, Ellen Colbert, Helen Brayden, Jenny Davis, Lauren Robinson, Molly Dempsey, Niamh Kellett, Sinead Doherty.

Minor Hurling Raheny 6-06 v Castleknock 4-09

U9 Girls had their first camogie outing of the year.  It was a home game against a 2-team Na Fianna and a 1 team N. Fionnbarra.  Since the pitches were called off we managed to secure Manor House Astro for the blitz, which is a great venue.  Well done to all the girls and it was great to see them enjoying themselves despite the freezing weather on the day.

Thank you so much to everyone who supported our Mothers Day Brunch
, we raised a total of 735 euro for Temple Street Childrens Hospital.  A special mention to Dublin Balloons who kindly donated several displays to pretty up the lounge, Denise in Sapphire Beauty salon and Perkulicious Coffee Shop and Aideen from Body in Balance Pilates. Thank you for the delicious scones made by Eva Lawlor.
Also to four lassies who play for the club and are also 4th year Manor House Students thank you for giving up your free time, Grace Colley, Eva Furey, Sabhdh Smyth and Aisling Geary and also to the Mammies who organised it all, Eva Fitzsimons, Cora McHugh, Donna Ivory, Siobhan Reid and Linda Hogan.
