Diners club on Saturday evening still a few places left, dinner for €10 each. Need money by Friday, text 0862909022 if interested.

The first Golf Outing will take place on Friday 21st June at St Annes Golf Club with tee times from 2pm - 4pm.

Cost for the day is as follows:
  • €55 for golf and steak dinner (as you come in)
  • €40 for golf only if not having dinner
  • €25 for St Anne's members for steak dinner
  • €10 of the above fee goes towards the prizes.
As always, the outing is a great way for members and past players of Raheny GAA club to keep in touch with each other and also for newer members to get to know more people, so we open it to members of the GAA club firstly but we will extend the invitation to friends if there are places available nearer the date.

If anyone would like to sponsor any aspect of the outing, please let us know and any spot prizes are always welcome.

We'll be playing in Fourballs so if you have preferred playing partners please let us know.

If you are interested in playing please contact Marius Herbert on 086 8131321 or email

We'll host another outing in early September with the venue to be decided.

Under 9 Boy's match report

A lovely summer's day in St Annes as we hosted Fingallians. We were back to full strength after the communion Saturdays and then the bank holiday. Fingallians arrived short a few players and special thanks to Scott Dennis for lining out for them. We had two very close matches for our white and orange teams, the orange team losing by 1 point and the white team winning by the same margin while our green team kept up their good winning run and were relatively easy victors. Robert Moran had an excellent game for the orange team and was helped by Cormac Lenehan and Conor Lally. Our white team saw great performances from Conor Ryan and Brian Purcell. Special mention on the green team for the two keepers who pulled off two excellent saves - Jason Maguire and Ruairi Kelly. Another great battling performance from the green team.

U9 match report by Fionnán Ryan.
Last Saturday we made the short trip to Marino to play St Vincents.
Great performance from all three teams as they all won their respective matches and it was a very happy bunch leaving fortress Marino on Saturday morning.
The green and white teams were down at halftime but both used the wind to good advantage in the second half.
Conor Ahearne and Ruairí Kelly were the driving force behind the green team whilst Shaun Leonard and John McNally were the stars for the white team.
Special praise to the orange team led strongly by Cormac Lenehan and Conor Ryan were never in trouble and played great football in both halves.
The orange team have had a few losses in the last few weeks but this was an excellent team performance and well done to all the boys.
Hurling training this week 5.50 on Tuesday pitch 1 and same time on Wednesday pitch 9 and smaller group on club astro.

Under Nines Girls Football

The under nines girls team had a home football blitz in Saint Anne’s park this weekend.
The girls played fantastic football they are starting to gel very well as a team.
Their passing well between each other and looking up to spot which players to pass to before letting the ball go.
Well done to Moya who took a hard knock to the nose but came straight back and continued to have a great game.
Happy birthday to Katelyn Kelly & Alex Nolan who both celebrated the birthdays this week.
Well done to all the girls for the level of sportswomanship they show both on and off the pitch.
It’s great to see them representing themselves and Raheny so well.

AFL 1 v Kilmacud Crokes 12 noon on pitch 9 (changed from Saturday due to dubs sen hurling match)

Edenderry GAA using app to boost lotto
With new clubs signing up daily to the mobile app one of our clubs are off to a flying start with the app.  Edenderry have been setting up new sellers daily with the app and have been busy selling lotto tickets all over Co. Offaly.

"While in the pub selling tickets, a guy from a rival club tried to sell me a ticket however he forgot his pen, so while he was busy looking for a pen I sold loads of tickets via the lotto app." - Garrett Reilly Edenderry GAA.
Using the app means that the clubs can get rid of printing tickets which can cost a club thousands in a year. You are also likely to always have your phone on you which means no rummaging for a ticket book and a pen.  It is very easy to monitor the sales though the app for the clubs committee which can cut down dramatically on the admin time involved.

OUR LOTTO IS LIVE ON-LINE, you know what they say if your not in you cant win!!!
