Club Notes July 23rd 2012

posted Jul 24, 2012, 12:55 PM by Kevin Brassil
Our second Summer Camp got off to a flying start on Monday in beautiful sunshine with over 170 children in attendance. Again great to see all the members who give up their time freely to help Coach our stars of the future. Our third and last camp is on 13th August.

Many congratulations to the Dublin Minor Ladies Footballers on a great All Ireland Semi-final win over Cork. Our Siobhan Woods who scored an amazing 2-8 in the game. Siobhan is unique in the fact that she represents both her club and county at Minor and Senior level, not too many players can boast this. Well done Siobhan, all the hard work pays dividends. Siobhan was voted evening herald player of the year.

Congratulations also to Dublin Senior & Minor Footballers and mighty wins in Leinster Finals over Meath.

Ciara Burgess back from injury and in form for Dub Senior Camogie with 4pts v St.Vincents in challenge game.

Thanks to Ronan Leech, Conor Lee and all mentors who co-operated in recent weeks
with arranging pitch allocations during the heavy rains
. As pitches are still soft, all Mentors are asked to assist in continually protecting our pitches.

Congrats to AFL5 who beat Ballinteer St John last week 2-17 : 0-07 to reach the CONLON CUP FINAL. A great achievement for this squad, who won the PARSON CUP last season and have been pushing hard for a number of years trying to get out of AFL5 into Intermediate. They are also in the Junior A Championship Semi-final, due to be played after the summer break.
