The Official Schools Liason Officer between the Club and all the local primary schools for the 2011/12 School Year is Alison Dempsey. Any club mentors who have any queries or requests, please feel free to contact Alison at 086-2909022, as she will be meeting the various School Principals in the coming weeks.

The last of the Summer Camps finished last week, thanks to club GPO Niamh Duggan and to everybody involved for a very successful series of camps over the summer.

Well done to Dublin Senior and Minor footballers on reaching the All Ireland finals and in particular to all our lads involved.  Well done also to Philip and Alannah Kane who kept everyone in tune.  Philip (minor footballer) orchestrated the Artane Boys Band around Croke Park last Sunday

The last time Dublin won the All-Ireland Minor Football was in 1984, v Tipperary and Raheny GAA have strong ties back to that team via players Alan McClean, Eoin Mullen (still playing with AFL9) and the Dublin Minor Manager was Raheny stalwart, Alan Larkin.

Best of luck to Dublin Minor hurlers V Galway in All-Ireland MHC Final next Sunday.  Eoin Smyth has been added to Raheny GAA's "Hall of Fame".  To read his interview click here ...

Senior Camogie had a good win v Naomh Mearnog and face Naomh Jude Tuesday 30th in c/ship away.Support welcome.Inters lost to Cumann Baire Caoimhin. 

Senior Ladies D2 footballers produced a magnificent team performance to overcome previously unbeaten Ballinteer St.Johns last week and play Clairseach na Sceiri Wednesday night on Pitch 10. Well done to all involved. 

Football and Hurling mini leagues commence Sun 11th Sept.10.30am-1.00pm on Pitch 12A. Get your children involved in a fun way with GAA sport. Open to 5-10yr olds.  You do not have to be a member of the club to attend. All participants play both hurling and football and crisps and a drink for all plus medals for winning teams.  Fee is only a fiver so come along for the craic. Many thanks to the Eircom/Newstalk GAA Day team who broadcast live from clubhouse last Friday. Tom Dunne and and crew excelled and a very special thanks to guests, Paul Bealin,Dub Supporters club stalwarts Hughie and Yvonne,recently crowned Miss Ireland, Raheny girl Holly Carpenter,4th year students behind the Roddy Doyle Fighting Words Initiative, the Grove DJ supremo Cecil Nolan and to Kildare player Johnny Doyle for putting the Raheny U12s through the mill. When checking out at the shop the purchaser will be asked to enter their club of choice prior to payment and the club will receive 20% of the sale. Clubs will be issued with a check every quarter.
