This weekend was dominated by the Dublin Camogie Feile,
we were able to submit two teams, in Division 2 and 4. As always our teams did us proud.

Raheny 2-2 Castleknock 1-4

In a dramatic and gripping Div 2 Final, Raheny scored a late goal in injury time to clinch the title and break Castleknock hearts. An outstanding display by goalkeeper Megan O Dare was instrumental in ensuring the Raheny girls were victorious as she denied Castleknock time and again with her positioning and shot stopping.
There was a high tempo to the game right from the throw in and Castleknock opened the scoring from a 45 through midfielder Lauren Sheridan. Centre forward Kate Flynn gave a highly impressive display for Castleknock at centre forward and she doubled her side's tally by pointing another free.
Raheny responded, however, with a goal of their own. A long delivery by the excellent Sinead Stack was kicked to the net by Nicole Crowley after a goalmouth scramble to give her team a narrow one point advantage.
Midfielder Sheridan pointed another free just before the break to leave the sides level at Castleknock 0-3 to Raheny 1-0.
Castleknock started the second half like a train and wing forward Ciara Murray brought out a brilliant double save from Raheny goalkeeper O Dare. The girls in maroon were hanging on at this stage but defenders Ciara Dodd, Ciara Morgan and Sinead Stack held firm in defense as Raheny weathered the early Castleknock storm and scored a point of their own.
Sinead Stack created the opportunity for Sophie Peate to fire over under huge pressure from two defenders and edge her side ahead again. Kate Flynn, however, leveled matters a minute later from a close range free.
With the game edging towards full time another draw looked likely, however, Castleknock got what looked like the winning goal when a 45 from Lauren Sheridan went straight to the Raheny net with only four minutes left.
Raheny refused to panic and they engineered a close in free from the resulting puck out which Sinead Stack converted to leave two between them. A win still looked unlikely as Castleknock defenders Rebecca Cassidy and Eve McCann stood firm at the back.
In the most dramatic of conclusions, a high ball into the Castleknock penalty area was sent across the goal by Sophie Peate to full forward Caragh Downey who flicked the sliotar to the net to give the Raheny girls victory and spark wild celebrations. For Castleknock ,it was a heartbreaking way to lose a final but their girls deserve great credit for a superb display.
