The Rush to Flush Walk !!

It was a beautiful sunny day when 150 or so members, families and friends joined us last Saturday on our ‘Rush to Flush’ 5km walk around St. Anne’s Park. The sole purpose of the walk was to raise vital funds to upgrade the toilets within the Clubhouse.

To date we raised just over €2,200 from the small number of sponsorship cards returned and the families and friends who registered on the day. The day could not have been a success without the support from members and friends, so a huge thank you!!

Many teams had other commitments on the day and we are very hopeful that these teams will hold their own walk or run to support the Club/members cause.

We would also like to thank our wonderful sponsors who made the day a success including: Dublin Balloons; Paper Pieces & Supervalu. A special words for thanks to Laura and Ali for co-ordinating the day, the course marshals and also Liz Stowe for the great pictures, some of which are below.

We will update you on total funds raised by the end of the summer!!

U13 Division 6N Football Champions.. Congratulations Girls!! A well deserved win, fantastic teamwork 🏆🏆🏆

U7/U8 Girls
Our girls finished up for the summer with a trip to JumpZone and had a blast. No need to worry about this crews flexibility as the photos will prove. 38 of them took to JumpZone in Santry with such enthusiasm they had to be restrained by the owners. I must say they all looked excellent in their yellow jump socks. A superb bunch of girls and a joy to work with...but God can they talk :-)
Just click on any of the photos and you can see more photos from the day

U8 Boys...

On Sunday afternoon two of our most famous members, Brian Fenton and Brian Howard, represented Raheny GAA with great distinction in Croke Park. However they were not the only club members to visit HQ over the weekend. On Saturday close on 40 of our under 8's descended on Pairc an Chrocaigh for a tour of the historic stadium.

Saturday morning was the last game for the under 8's before the summer break, and as the mentors have come to expect from this bunch, our lads performed with real determination and no lack of skill against our close neighbours St Monica's. Following the game and still in Maroon, the lads arrived at Croker in enthusiastic (manic!!!) form. From a rousing rendition of Amhran na bhfiann (for fellow visitors), to a Q&A session in the changing rooms, to roars of "Raheny" from the upper heights of the Hogan Stand (to hear the echo!!) the boys did themselves and their club proud.

Finally the afternoon was finished off under the Davin Stand with chips & nuggets and the most amazing Raheny GAA hurl shaped cake. The cake was baked by Barbara Ryan (mam to Isaac, one of the many stars of the team) and garnered as many compliments as the behaviour of our lads!!!

This is an enthusiastic bunch, blessed with a steely determination and a never give up attitude. We have no doubt that some of these lads will see the inside of the Croke Park dressing rooms again before too long!!!

U10/U11 Girls :- Summer Blitz followed by ice cream in the park!
