Match Report SFC - Sunday 8th May at Inisfails GAA Grounds.

Two second half goals saw Raheny shrug off the challenge of Fingallians in this Evening Herald Dublin SFC second round (losers section) clash at Balgriffin on Sunday morning.

Raheny, playing with the assistance of s atrong wind led 0-11 to 1-4 at the interval with the Swords’ side’s goal coming from a Martin Hanley penalty in the 15th minute.

The Raheny crowd were somewhat anxious at half time, as the strong wind was now in Fingallians favour. The opposite occured, as Raheny made some positional changes, which changed the style of play and with more direct and faster ball hitting the full forward line, scoring opportunities opened up.

With David Henry, Eoghan Keogh & Greg Bennett picking up a mountain of breaking ball around the middle, along with the direct running of Eoin Delaney and goals from midfielder Tiarnan O Doinn and Dublin minor of last year, David Shatwell at full forward (with Stephen Swords heavily involved on both occasions) saw Raheny run out comfortable winners.
