The U11s finished this term on a high note at sun drenched Pitch 29 on Saturday 27th June. They beat Naomh Olaf by 5 scores to 2. The mentors had barely set their stop watches before Raheny were in front from the first attack from Aoife Stack. 5 minutes into the game Raheny extended their lead with a Sophie Crowley goal. Half time score 3 to 1. Olafs hit the crossbar from a 45 and the rebound was well cleared by Raheny. Sophie did a great marking job on Olaf's danger player No 2 Chloe O'Cealaigh. Kate O'Connor had a steady game on goal. Great defending by Andrea Elbert, Adienne McEvoy, Aoife Nolan and Ciara Mooney. The reshuffled attack saw further scores from Shelly Whelehan and Aisling Brennan with Zuleika Monaghan and Caoimhne McGloin supplying good crossing  balls. Anna Murphy displayed great skill at mid-field and fought every ball hard. New comer Rachael O'Grady is settling well into the team. Final Score 5 to 2. This win was the result of a super team effort from all 13 players and linesmen, umpires and all the parents. The girls celebrated the win by cooling down with the help of the sprinklers on the adjoining Clontarf pitch and the season was rounded off with refreshments and choc ices in the Clubhouse.
