Scoil Aine reach Cumann Na mBunscoil final at first attempt

On their first year entering the Cumann na mBunscoil Scoil Aine Raheny managed to get their day in Croke Park against Scoil San Treasa, MountMerrion in the Corn Haughey Cup. When the girls started the competition last March getting to Croke Park was just a dream but as the games went on the team started building momentum. After beating Lucan in the Quarter final it looked like Croke Park could happen. The girls then went on to beat hot favourites Fiachra’s of Beaumont in the semi-final , they had secured a place on Croke Park soil. Victory went to the skilful southsiders on the day. ’Getting to Croke Park was a great achievement for our first year out’ said Laura Shepherd. ‘I am so proud of all the girls. We look forward to more years with Cumann na mBunscoil.’
