99s Topple Judes

The Raheny 99s maintained their 100% start to the division 1 league campaign with a bruising victory over St. Judes in St Annes park the sunday just gone. After a 1st half stalemate the deadlock was finally broken when fine work by Sinead Doran and Tara Mc Ellistrim set up Andrea Elebert who finished delightfully. This forced Judes to push forward but our "Iron Curtain" defence of Aibhe Kirwan, Aoife Flynn, Saoirse White and Olivia Kane ensured our keeper for the day Amy Nannery was never troubled. Andrea wasted little time in taking advantage of Judes shortcomings at the back and completed her hat- trick thanks to fine work by Anna Murphy. That brought her total to 5 goals in 2 games as she bagged a brace in a 3-2 victory the previous week at Oliver Plunketts. Hero of that day was Saoirse Wilkinson as she scored a fine winner with 5 minutes to go in a come from behind win. Rumour has it she was still talking about it to Aoife Flynn during the 2nd half of the Judes match !!!!!

We would also like to wish Ruth Colbert a speedy recovery from a fractured shoulder especially after her magnificent performance against Plunketts. Get Well soon Ruth.
