Our first hurling game after the summer break. Lovely morning on pitch 12a as we welcomed St Maurs from Rush. There are plenty still away on holidays so we just about managed 3 7 a sides. For the Orange team we had a battling performance from
Conor Ryan and Robert Moran but in the end we lost the match by the odd
goal in a very close match. The green team won well with Matthew McGloin having his best hurling match of the year and Ruairi Kelly knocking over some nice points. All the boys played very well. The summer practice paid off. The white team won a tight game on skill points. A great team effort with everybody playing for each other- brilliant team work. Well done lads. We are starting to see a big improvement in all the players who are practising every day. Get the hurley in the hand for ten minutes after you come home from school, working on both sides all the time. Hurling training on Tuesday at 5.50pm. We will text dtls to parents. |
