Fionnán Ryan reports: We were on the road again for the third week in a row and at this stage, we have almost forgotten what it is like to have a home match. This week it was a 10am start against St Sylvesters. Perhaps it was the earlier than usual start but we seemed to leave all the good stuff we have been doing at training as we lost all three matches. The gold team were up against a very strong St Sylvesters
and truth be told were never in the match. The early concessison of
scores made it an uphill task but there were committed performances from
Jacques Bosonnet, Conor Ryan and Cormac Lenihan who gave his all.
The white team were in a closer affair but again
proved second best on the day. St Sylvesters had a very strong team at
this grade and despite good showings from Ross Leahy, Luke Fitzpatrick
and Johnny Robinson, our lads were playing second fiddle on the day.
The green team were in the closest contest of the
day and lost by a couple of skill points. In an all action match, there
was little between the teams and the Raheny mentors were left scratching
their heads as to where the winning Sylvester's skill points came from.
There were very good performances from Conor Ahearne, Sean Reilly and
Ruairi Kelly.
Onwards and upwards for next week when we hope to get back on the winning track. |
