Ace sports reporter Fionnán Ryan gives his assessment of Saturdays hurling encounters with Clontarf ______________________________________________________________________________________________ After the short Easter break it was back to hurling action at our home away from home venue at Alfie Byrne Road against Clontarf A mixed bag of results saw 1 emphatic win, a heavy loss and a 1 point loss Our white team proved much too strong for their opponents with excellent performances from Aaron fitzsimons, Ciaran Hartnett, Andrew o'Shaughnessy and James O'connell. The orange team came up against a much stronger outfit and were unfortunately no match for Clontarf. However there were string battling performances from Sean Dowd, Cormac Lenehan and Scott Dennis. The green team were involved in the proverbial game of two halves. Heavily down at half time a superb second half rally saw them lose by just 1 point. Man of the match for Raheny was Ruairi Kelly. Other strong performances came from Sean Reilly and Eoghan Cullen. |
