We welcomed Ballyboden- St Enda's Under 9 to Raheny for a football
challenge this week as we had a bye in our regular north Dublin league.
Thanks to Ballyboden for making the trip and for being on time with
excellent numbers. Another great sunny morning and an excellent turnout of 28 lads. Mixed results on the pitch where we had one win and two losses. In
our only win, there were great performances from Cathal Quinn, Robert
Moran and Matthew McGloin. Conor Ahearne was back to his best after his
summer appendicitis operation.
One of the losses was down to Ballyboden getting
more skill points than Raheny. While we got the better of them on the
scoreboard Ballyboden were the winners on the day by virtue of their
skill-points. Best for Raheny in this match were the ever reliable Sean
Reilly. He was ably assisted by Brian Purcell and Ciaran Harnett.
The third match saw a stronger Ballyboden in all
areas. However, the lads never gave up and there were strong
performances from Daniel Broderick, Damian Mahon and Jason Maguire. |
